Welcome to the 2011 Women's World Cup blog. Here you can follow our trip to Germany. We leave on the 28th of June and we will see four games.
Last year I went with my son Benni to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and we had a great time. This summer I will be going with my daughter Karen Magnea (10) and her friend Ada (11) and her father Alan to see the best women in the world play soccer. It is a remarkable and a very positive development that the Women's World Cup is now a major sporting event. Both Karen and Ada are awesome soccer players and they really wanted to go see the Women's World Cup.
Above is a photo taken last summer (2010) when Ada and Karen went to watch the USA play England in the Men's World Cup. Starting June 29th we will start our regular posts with plenty of photos!
